New Acoustical Terminology Standard
Download your copy of the new 'SATRUN Acoustical Terminology Standard', and catch up on our recent webinar on underwater radiated noise from vessels with DOSITS!
SATURN Acoustical Terminology Standard
We are happy to announce that the 'SATURN Acoustical Terminology Standard' is now available to read and download through our project website! The scope of the standard is acoustical and bioacoustical terminology related to URN and the effects of vessel URN on aquatic life, and is designed to facilitate effective communication, especially inter-disciplinary communication, between physicists, biologists, and end users.
SATURN Webinar with DOSITS
In case you missed it, you can now watch the full replay of our recent webinar on 'Underwater Radiated Noise from Vessels (SATURN)' with DOSITS (Discovery of Sound in the Sea)!
In this webinar, SATURN partners Christ de Jong (TNO) and Johan Bosschers (MARIN) discuss various technical aspects of ship noise by considering its assessment, its main sources being machinery noise and propeller cavitation noise, and some of its mitigation measures.
